we are getting a picture of our baby taken tomorrow! we are so excited for this ultrasound and we are hoping that we will be able to learn the gender of our little peanut. i am not going to be able to sleep tonight...i am too excited...

are you kidding me??

so my doctor prescribed me some medicine to help ease my nausea since i haven't been able to keep much down and at my thirteen week appointment my morning sickness had not yet started to subside. i was reading the information on this medicine and the side effects include: dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, nausea, blurred vision, and vomiting...are you kidding me?? so to help with my nausea, i was prescribed a medicine that has nausea and vomiting as side effects?? i found this laughable, but decided to give it a whirl anyway because i am so tired of feeling sick. my doctor said i should know within a few days if it was working or not. so a few days after taking it, i was sicker than i was before...throwing up multiple times at work and at home...i stopped taking it but have not started feeling better at all. it has kind of killed my weekend. i am hoping it will only take a couple of days to get this stuff out of my system...my doctor said that if this didn't work, he could prescribe something stronger but i am hesitant to take anything else as my body doesn't usually respond well to medicine.

pregnancy update

well i had another doctor appointment today and i have lost two pounds since my appointment last month. it is crazy. my doctor prescribed some medication to help me with the nausea so hopefully i will be able to keep more food down within the next few days. we got to hear the heartbeat which was really fun and i am measuring right on schedule. i am glad we got to hear the heartbeat, it makes the exhaustion and nausea worth it...just a little over two weeks until we find out pink or blue...

sweetest husband in the world

...so i am still sick pretty much every day. it helps for me to keep something in my tummy all the time...eat when i wake up and then never let my tummy be empty...which is kind of tough to do when you are nauseated most the time. my sister rachel came over on friday night and we made quesadillas and had girl talk time. it was so fun. i am glad she has been pregnant before because she totally understood when i became nauseated and hot and had to turn on the air, open the sliding glass door to let in even more cold air, grab the bucket(just in case) and sit down. thanks for understanding and for finishing preparing dinner rachel!

anyway, i had a pretty hard night and saturday morning when i woke up i turned on the tv and just stayed in bed hoping i would be able to fall asleep. i thought dave was at the gym so i just decided to rest. about twenty minutes later, dave opens the door to our bedroom with a big smile on his face and a tray holding some french toast he had prepared for me because he knows how much i love it. it was so fun to have breakfast in bed with him. what a sweetheart! how did i get so lucky??
