this is a picture of my father-in-law. he passed away two years ago today and he has been on my mind all day. i wish i had been able to get to know him better. i am so glad i was able to meet him. it makes me sad that little audrey will never know her grandpa montoya here on earth, but i know she is with him now. he is probably bouncing her on his knee and teaching her all kinds of things she will need to know when she gets here.
i love my husband so much and i cannot express my gratitude to his father for raising him to be such an amazing man.

His father did an amazing job raising Dave. And Dave will be an amazing father to Audrey.
What a lovely tribute
Wow. What a hard day. What a great man he must have been to teach Dave how to be such a good person. Audrey is for sure learning all the ropes from both of her grandpa's before she gets here.
Dave's dad did do a great job! Today is a sad day, Dave and you will be in my thoughts.
I second what gustogirl said. We will be thinking of you two.
wow, they look so much alike! thinking of you both.
What a beautiful tribute to your father-in-law. You are a very special woman to do this. My heart goes out to you and Dave.
xo,
Audrey
I have tears in my eyes reading this... tears of sadness for your loss, but also tears of joy for the special and miraculous place your father-in-law has in your lives.
My own Dad died 3 years before my Audrey was born, and since Audrey has been very little she talks to my Dad. I know he visits her and Jane. Audrey believes that her Grandpa has helped her in the most trying moments of her life... and also the happiest, like finding her true love. Audrey's oldest son William is named for my Dad.
Your little Audrey will have a very, very special relationship with her Grandpa, too. I can't wait for you to tell us when the miracle starts!
Much love,
Sharon
I am so glad that you married dave! He is such a wonderful man and obviously had a great example in his home.
This was a sweet tribute to a Dad and his son. We love Dave.
